About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cyber Security Engineer – IDAM to work for our client within the Retail sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds.

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support 
the retailer’s identity and access management transformation, following a major assessment by an external partner. The engineer will deliver roadmap items, quick wins, and IDAM improvements across workforce and B2B identities, with potential replatforming of IDP and PAM solutions.
 
Responsibilities: 
 
  • Provide IDAM expertise across workforce and B2B identity domains.
  • Implement roadmap items from the IDAM maturity assessment.
  • Contribute to future IDP replatforming decisions and integrations.
  • Support SailPoint IdentityIQ processes, workflows, and governance.
  • Assist in the transition away from existing PAM tooling (CyberArk).
  • Work with security, HR, and platform teams on lifecycle, provisioning, and RBAC improvements.

About You

  • Strong experience in identity engineering or access management.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one identity platform (IIQ, Okta, Entra ID, Google Identity).
  • Understanding of authentication protocols and modern identity patterns.
  • Ability to support complex identity environments and legacy integrations.

Desirable

  • Experience with PAM alternatives such as Delinea, BeyondTrust, or Entra PIM.
  • Experience with IDP migrations.
  • Experience in large multi‑domain organisations.
