About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the energy sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role with a requirement to be on-site one day per week in either Nottingham or Solihull. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead a major organisational and HR change as UK Digital Technology transitions to a new operating model and modernised ways of working.
  • Guide the design and delivery of project outcomes in close collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between UK DT, HR and wider business initiatives throughout the project.
  • Facilitate end‑to‑end project delivery, maintaining a consistent and effective delivery rhythm (“drumbeat”).
  • Oversee governance forums and ensure governance standards are met.
  • Track project progress, performance and deliverables.
  • Ensure financial, organisational and quality standards are upheld throughout delivery.
  • Plan, manage and deliver to agreed project milestones.
  • Facilitate key delivery meetings, including Steering Committee (SteerCo) sessions.
  • Proactively manage project risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience leading complex organisational change.
  • Confident communicator at all levels, including senior leadership and HR.
  • Strong project management capability.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience.
  • Ability to define, communicate and track project outcomes, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Structured and proactive working style.
  • Strong governance approach, including milestone delivery, health checks and stage‑gate reviews.
  • Awareness of the sensitivity involved in organisation design.
  • Ability to navigate impacts and dependencies across UK DT, HR and wider business initiatives.
