About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a agentic AI Developer to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a fully remote role.

We are seeking an individual that has a track record in developing and implementing agentic automation to design, build, deploy, and optimise AI-powered agents. Our client currently uses the Microsoft suite of tools.This role blends technical expertise, product thinking, and business problemsolving to deliver intelligent automations and conversational experiences that improve efficiency and create delightful user outcomes.

The ideal candidate is passionate about AI, has strong experience building automated workflows or conversational interfaces, and can translate business needs into scalable agent solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy agentic automation for an exciting and forward thinking public sector service.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to build chatbots and user interfaces to cement the use of AI automation.
  • Optimise agent behavior through prompt engineering and iterative tuning.
  • Collaborate with the business to continuously develop and refine identify automation opportunities and convert requirements into agent designs.

About You

  • Proven experience building AI agents in an industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience with exposure to Microsoft Azure tool suite, or other conversational AI frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, prompts, grounding, and RAG workflows.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with data governance, identity management, and data security principles.
