Join FDM in Sydney as a Business Trainer and help turn early-career professionals into confident, client-ready tech consultants. 

This isn’t a lecture-based role. You’ll mentor, challenge and coach, translating theory into real-world capability. For over a decade, FDM has built the talent behind Australia’s leading organisations across banking, finance, insurance, retail and more. In 2026, we’re raising the bar. 

AI Fluency built in: AI is reshaping every industry. We’ll equip you with practical foundations in prompt engineering and give you the chance to apply them through bespoke projects alongside our consultants. 

What you’ll do 

  • Design and deliver structured, hands-on training in the FDM Skills Lab that reflects real client environments 
  • Create practical business projects aligned to industry demand and learning outcomes 
  • Welcome consultants on their first week and take through inductions and essential soft skills preparation
  • Mentor consultants within pod teams, guiding problem-solving, growth and project readiness 
  • Provide extensive interview skills coaching and deliver workshops on communication skills, presentation skills and Agile Project Management
  • Provide clear, tailored feedback to build confidence and technical capability 
  • Assess performance through practical evaluations, interviews and observation, documenting outcomes and progress 
  • Support recruitment by assessing candidate aptitude and conducting mock interviews 
  • Prepare consultants for client assignments, including resume readiness and professional presentation 
  • Partner with Sales as a technical SME, contributing to client discussions and proposals 
  • Contribute to curriculum development and maintain a high-performance, accountable learning culture

About You

  • Degree or higher in a Business-related field 
  • Relevant industry experience of 2+ years 
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor learners to achieve excellence as consultants
  • Experience learning new technologies and generate training documentation in a timely manner 
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, both technically and functionally 
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment and within a team 
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities 
  • Can commit to four days on-site in the Barangaroo office in Sydney
