About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Quant Analyst to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a Quant Analyst to provide quantitative, model‑risk and AI‑analytics expertise to make our client’s AI‑ready GRC operating model real, linking CIB models, AI/ML use cases, and regulatory workflows (model review, AI use‑case approval, AI incident triage).

Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of quant models into risk/control expectations
  • Assessment of model behaviour, explainability, drift, stability, bias.
  • Alignment of CIB models with AI governance and regulatory frameworks
  • Support for:
    • AI use case approval
    • AI model review
    • AI incident investigation
    • Model governance evidence packs for CIB.  
  • Map model/AI use cases to risk taxonomy and control library
  • Produce quant evidence for PoV/PoC workflows (sensitivity, stability, limitations).
  • Translate front‑office quant artefacts into regulator‑credible documentation.
  • Partner with external vendor SMEs to ensure workflows reflect real model lifecycle behaviours.
  • Contribute to dashboard inputs

About You

  • Experience in FO/Model Risk/Algo teams (Traded Risk, Pricing, AI models).
  • Strong in Python/R/Spark, model validation, and interpretable ML.
  • Understands supervisory expectations on AI/ML and model transparency.
  • Operates comfortably between FO quants, Risk, and Compliance.
  •  Experience with model risk validation or AI/ML model assurance.
  • Ability to produce explainability and stability artefacts.
  • Understanding of regulatory expectations (AI, model governance).
