About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 6‑month contract with strong potential to extend, and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client requires an experienced EUC Engineer to support the enhancement, maintenance and modernisation of their Digital Workspace environment. You will work alongside the EUC Lead to improve the current setup while also contributing to a long‑term strategy focused on modern desktop, device management, and cloud‑based virtual desktop solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Experienced in meeting the needs of users across a variety of channels. Know how to apply strategic thinking and provide the best service for the end user.
  • Oversee continuing operations of EUC systems to ensure minimal disruption
  • Analyse existing setup and assist with improving what is currently being delivered
  • Accountable for planning and managing EUC maintenance and patching of existing services to agreed levels
  • Assist with designing and implementing the strategy that will take the team and company forward
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external senior-level management
  • Clearly articulate technical EUC solutions and be confident in explaining solutions to a wider project group who may not be technically aware.
  • As a member of CTG Client Services function, support the adoption of a customer service, delivery, and continuous improvement ethos. Support the EUC Lead with appropriate communications into and out of the EUC Team
  • Ensure EUC related documentation is up to date and accessible
  • Provide support to the EUC Lead & Head of Client Services in relation to service-oriented projects (i.e., planning, organising, controlling, managing and coordination activities)
  • Change management - analyse and assess impact and develop and document change requests.
  • Problem management - initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns and trends to resolve problems, including consulting specialists where required
  • Manage, coordinate, and prioritise assigned EUC tasks to resolve technical incidents as quickly as possible
  • Conduct EUC automation feasibility studies to identify opportunities for service and control / governance improvement
  • Support EUC reviews, service reports and audits

About You

  • Strong experience working as an EUC Engineer/Architect supporting enterprise desktop environments.
  • Hands‑on technical expertise across AVD, Intune, Windows 11, M365, iOS, Active Directory, GPO, BitLocker, Windows Hello, and profile management technologies.
  • Proven experience acting as the technical lead on EUC/Desktop projects, including solution design and delivery.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and senior management.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in End User Computing, Endpoints, or Modern Workplace engineering roles.
