About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the UK Public Sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with strong prospects for extension and will be a remote role.

Our client is looking for experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of two critical national programmes. The work is delivery focused and centred on process improvement in a complex and highly regulated environment. The Project Manager will be responsible for bringing structure, pace and governance to multiple workstreams, coordinating senior stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered to agreed outcomes.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Manage projects from initiation through to delivery and closure
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risks, issues and dependencies
  • Establish clear governance, roles and reporting structures
  • Run project meetings and maintain delivery momentum across workstreams
  • Provide clear and timely progress updates to sponsors and governance groups

About You

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects in a structured environment
  • Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills
  • Confident working with senior and busy stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Experience managing risks, issues and dependencies in complex programmes
  • Experience working within a public sector or regulated organisation is desirable
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager role
