About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Quantexa Engineer to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a fully remote role that will be based in London

Our client is seeking a Senior Quantexa Scoring Engineer with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) experience is responsible for designing and implementing advanced detection logic within the Quantexa Decision Intelligence Platform. This role focuses on using contextual data and network analytics to identify suspicious financial activities and reduce false positives in high-volume transaction environments.
 
Responsibilities:
  • 10+ years overall professional experience, including at least 1 year hands‑on experience delivering solutions on the Quantexa Decision Intelligence Platform in a production or client environment
  • Strong experience designing and implementing Quantexa detection logic, including Document, Entity, and Network scores using the Assess framework
  • Proven Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) experience, particularly within Transaction Monitoring and financial crime detection
  • Background as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer, working with large-scale, complex datasets in regulated environments
  • Scala development experience supporting analytics or data-processing solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark for large-scale distributed data processing
  • Experience with model calibration, threshold management, and score explainability to meet AML governance and regulatory standards
  • Ability to operate at a senior level, providing technical leadership and translating regulatory requirements into technical designs

About You

  • 10+ years overall experience, with minimum 1 year hands-on Quantexa experience in a production or client environment
  • At least 1 year working with the Quantexa Decision Intelligence Platform, including scoring, network analytics, and Assess framework usage
  • Strong Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) experience, specifically within Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crime use cases
  • Proven background as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer, working with large, complex datasets in regulated environments
  • Solid Scala development experience, writing and supporting scalable data and analytics solutions
  • Apache Spark experience, including batch and/or dynamic processing of high‑volume data
