About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager (Delivery Lead – Data Migration Programme) to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to act as a Delivery Lead, responsible for driving a large-scale data migration programme. This is a high-impact role focused on delivering critical data transformation initiatives, ensuring robust governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful execution across complex, multi-stream environments.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale data migration programme
  • Develop and manage detailed programme plans, timelines, and delivery milestones
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across data, technology, and business units
  • Establish governance frameworks, including RAID logs, reporting, and steering committee updates
  • Manage senior stakeholders, providing clear communication on progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring the programme stays on track
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee third-party vendors and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment and performance 

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Delivery Lead on large-scale data migration or data transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and migration strategies
  • Experience operating within enterprise-level data or transformation programmes
  • Demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholders and complex delivery environments
  • Strong knowledge of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar programme management tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in project/programme delivery
