Data visualisation/BI developer - Dublin

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Visualisation / Front-End BI Developer to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Dublin, Ireland.

Our client is seeking a technically capable front-end data specialist with strong Business Intelligence and data visualisation experience. The successful candidate will support the design, development and enhancement of data-led user interfaces, dashboards and reporting solutions, helping business stakeholders interpret and act on data effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain front-end solutions for data-driven applications, dashboards and reporting tools.
•  Build, enhance and optimise BI dashboards, reports and visual analytics solutions for business users.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts and technical teams to gather, clarify and translate requirements into practical visual outputs.
• Develop intuitive, responsive and scalable front-end visualisation solutions that support effective decision-making.
• Support improvements to existing reporting assets, data presentation layers and dashboard usability.
• Ensure dashboards, reports and visual outputs are accurate, accessible and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
• Apply best practice in dashboard design, usability, data storytelling and visual clarity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in a front-end development, BI development, data visualisation or related role.
• Strong front-end development skills, ideally including JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, Vue or similar.
• Hands-on experience with BI and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar.
• Good understanding of dashboard design, reporting processes, data structures and data presentation principles.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to data accuracy, usability and visual presentation.
• SQL experience or the ability to query relational databases would be advantageous.
• Exposure to data modelling, ETL processes, cloud data platforms or UX/UI principles would be beneficial.
