About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Junior PMO to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a remote role with occasion travel to London or Leeds. Active SC (Security Check) clearance is required for this role and applicants must have worked in a UK Government department in the last 12 months.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior PMO Analyst to support the delivery of programmes and projects within a structured portfolio environment. The role will work within the Project Management Office (PMO), helping to ensure governance, reporting, and project controls are consistently applied across projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the PMO function in maintaining governance standards across projects and programmes
  • Assist with the preparation of project documentation, including reports, dashboards, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
  • Track and monitor project performance against timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, ensuring all documentation is up to date
  • Support resource planning and tracking activities
  • Assist in facilitating project governance meetings, including taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers and Programme Managers
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and external regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools 

About You

  • Active SC (Security Check) clearance – must have worked in a UK Government department in the last 12 months
  • Experience working in a PMO, project support, or project coordination role
  • Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, or similar)
  • Experience producing project reports and maintaining project documentation
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
