About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Modeller to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 3–6 month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client, is undertaking a data transformation programme to enhance data quality, governance, and modelling capabilities across the business. They are seeking a Data Modeller to support the design and implementation of future-state (“to-be”) data models, working closely with data engineering and business teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions. The role will play a key part in identifying and resolving data quality defects and shaping best practice data architecture.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop logical and physical data models aligned to target-state architecture
  • Collaborate with data engineers to implement models within Databricks environments
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve data quality issues and defects across datasets
  • Work with stakeholders to define and document “to-be” data structures and standards
  • Ensure data models support scalability, governance, and business reporting need

About You

  • Strong experience in data modelling and data engineering environments
  • Proven experience managing and resolving data quality defects
  • Hands-on expertise with Databricks and SQL
  • Experience designing and implementing future-state (“to-be”) data models
  • Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in data modelling, data engineering, or related disciplines
