About The Role

We are hiring a Front Office Trade Support Analyst to join our Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD) team. This is a high-impact role sitting close to the trading desk, where you’ll act as a key control function and ensure trades are accurately processed across front-to-back systems.

The Role
As part of a specialist Trade Support team, you will:
  • Partner directly with Front Office (Traders and Sales) to support daily trading activity
  • Act as the first line of control, ensuring trades are accurately captured and reflected across systems
  • Validate trades across internal platforms, external brokers, and counterparties
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly to minimise risk
  • Serve as a key point of contact between the trading desk and teams across the bank (Finance, Settlements, Collateral, Confirmations)
  • Help strengthen operational controls and improve processes through automation, innovation, and system enhancements
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all trades are booked, verified, and confirmed correctly
  • Reconcile trade data across multiple systems and external sources
  • Liaise with internal teams and counterparties to resolve breaks and discrepancies
  • Monitor and manage risk by escalating issues quickly and effectively
  • Suggest and implement process improvements, including automation and AI-driven solutions
  • Support the development of straight-through processing (STP) and control frameworks

Essential Skills & Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Confident communicator, able to work with traders, clients, and internal teams
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes
  • Team player with a collaborative approach
Technical & Product Knowledge
  • Understanding of Interest Rate Derivatives (preferred but not essential)
  • Interest in AI, automation, and process optimisation
  • Ability to identify repetitive tasks and improve efficiency using technology
Desirable Experience
  • Experience with structured products (e.g. SPV / Repack)
  • Knowledge of bonds and securities settlements
  • Familiarity with complex or hybrid derivative products
