About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Product Manager with Active SC to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role with occasional travel into London or Manchester.

We are seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Product Manager to lead the strategy, vision, and continuous improvement of enterprise email and collaboration tooling. Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering a product roadmap that meets user needs, aligns with organisational objectives, and ensures secure, efficient, and modern communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for email and collaboration services.
  • Ensure alignment with organisational priorities, user needs, and technology direction.
  • Lead the planning and prioritisation of the product backlog for a multidisciplinary squad.
  • Create, refine, and prioritise user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and delivery value.
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes aligned to user and business needs.
  • Conduct discovery and analysis activities to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement within M365 collaboration tooling.
  • Engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leaders to gather requirements and understand demand.
  • Assess whether requirements can be met through existing capabilities or require new solutions, balancing cost, risk, and value.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain a continuously prioritised and transparent roadmap for key products and services.
  • Produce product updates, status reports, and briefings for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure visibility of progress, risks, dependencies, and opportunities.

About You

  • Applicants must hold active SC clearance and have worked within a government department within the past 12 months.
  • Experience working as a Product Manager or Product Owner in an agile environment
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, particularly Exchange and Outlook
  • Demonstrable experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, user-focused deliverables
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs and product success measures
