About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager to work for one of our clients within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in London.

Our client is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to lead the delivery of strategic security initiatives across their technology estate. This role sits at the intersection of cyber security, technology delivery, risk management and business change, requiring someone who can drive projects from inception through to implementation while engaging a broad range of technical and business stakeholders.

You will play a key role in delivering security enhancements that protect critical systems, data and customer information, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Responsibilities: 
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of cyber security and information security projects.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, governance packs and status reporting.
  • Coordinate work across Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, Risk, Compliance and third-party suppliers.
  • Drive delivery of security initiatives including IAM, cloud security, vulnerability management and security tooling projects.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, timelines and dependencies.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure projects align with business objectives, regulatory requirements and security standards.
  • Facilitate steering committees, governance forums and stakeholder workshops.
  • Provide clear communication and reporting to senior leadership and project sponsors.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of cyber security capabilities across the organisation. 

About You

  • Proven experience delivering Cyber Security or Information Security projects as a Project Manager.
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Insurance or other highly regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of cyber security principles and controls.
  • Knowledge of areas such as Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, Security Operations and Cyber Resilience.
  • Demonstrable experience managing cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
  • Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, CISSP, CISM or Security+ are highly desirable.
