About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Product Owner to work for our client within the Investment Banking sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in

London.

Our client is seeking a Product Owner to own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for Investment Banking deal lifecycle platforms. The successful candidate will partner with banking, operations, compliance and technology teams to deliver solutions that enhance deal execution, governance and financial transparency across M&A and Capital Markets processes.

Responsibilities:

Define, manage and prioritise the product roadmap and backlog for deal lifecycle platforms.
Gather business requirements and translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria and deliverable outcomes.
Drive Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement and UAT sign off.
Collaborate with stakeholders across banking, operations, compliance and technology teams to align priorities and outcomes.
Ensure solutions meet regulatory, governance, operational and business requirements.
Track product performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Support the management of M&A and Capital Markets deal lifecycle processes, including deal initiation, conflict clearance and pipeline management.
Lead cross functional teams and contribute to the successful delivery of complex change initiatives.

About You

Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within Investment Banking, Capital Markets or Financial Services environments.
Working knowledge of M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Loan deal lifecycle processes.
Experience defining and managing product roadmaps, backlogs and prioritisation frameworks.
Strong Agile delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story creation and UAT management.
Hands on experience using JIRA and associated Agile project management tools.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage senior business and technology stakeholders.
Experience gathering, analysing and translating complex business requirements into technology solutions.
Knowledge of governance, conflict clearance, regulatory and compliance requirements within Investment Banking.
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Experience leading cross functional teams and delivering complex business and technology change initiatives.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technology teams.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or Business Change within Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
